The ever changing Calgary skyline
I have thoroughly been enjoying myself this summer capturing the sky and Calgary’s skyline. I’ve joined a group hosted by Robert Scott Photography and spent quite a few evenings either in tall grass or a windstorm. Remember that windstorm in Red Deer? I was out at Scotsman’s Hill that evening and almost got blown over. They say live in the moment. This is what I captured that day.
Calgary’s skyline sure is changing – Look at that beautiful Brookfield Place. Telus Sky sure is coming along too. I had a family shoot at Scotsman Hill and as always, got there a little early to scope things out. Luckily it cleared up before the shoot but it sure made for an pretty cool look. I call this my ‘Blue’ period LOL…
This years storm season sure did not let us down. We had dust storms, tornadoes, lenticular clouds, shelf clouds… You name it I think we had it. And I just absolutely love it. I mean I don’t love it in a Oklahoma kind of way but the amount of crazy weather we have here in Alberta suits me just fine.
Is there really anything better than hanging out with the one you love? I was lucky that this couple was enjoying the sunset. They made for the perfect addition to the scene. If anyone knows them, send them my way.
The lights are starting to twinkle as the sun sets over my beautiful city. Shortly after Canada Day, I headed out on my second outing with the new group and found myself at Tyndale Park. What a beautiful spot!
And with that, I turn off the lights. Until next time. Thanks for reading…Kristina
